HARD WORK BEATS TALENT

This website serves as an aid for our athletes to have easy access to all their meetings information and results; as received from the organizers of events.

Athletics (track and field and cross country) in South Africa is governed by two bodies:

ASA - Athletics South Africa (Governing Body of Athletics in South Africa)

SASA - South African Schools Athletics

In the past both ASA and SASA had Provincial Leagues, Provincial Championships and National Championships for Primary and High School athletes.

This situation puts a lot of stress on athletes to perform at ASA and SASA events.

Elise Athletics in conjunction with Hoërskool Randburg, realised that it is important for school athletes to support ASA and SASA events, but we manage it in such a way that the athletes benefit from this. We have started our own running club (Hoërskool Randburg Running Club) in order to have control over our athlete’s participation and relationship with CGA (Central Gauteng Athletics) and ASA.

At Elise Athletics we believe in being patient in developing athletes to become senior athletes. Consistency and gradual improvement is key in the development of our athletes. Although we are fortunate to have a lot of talented athletes we emphasize that HARD WORK BEATS TALENT.
